Make your child’s birthday a memorable day by celebrating at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
Engage your senses by touching fossils, feeling bird wings, smelling tropical scents, watching the beehive and more. Try on costumes, play with puppets and find hidden animals in our dead tree critter hotel. This is an ideal area for intergenerational learning.
Celebrate the importance of outdoor play in the lives and education of children in the Prairie Ridge Ecostation’s Nature PlaySpace, designed especially for families with young children!
Come play and learn with us this summer! Bring your curiosity and sense of wonder as you join Museum educators for fun activities, games, and crafts that teach about the natural sciences! We offer half-day, full-day, and even week-long residential camps — so there’s something for everyone from rising Kindergarteners to 8th graders!
To determine ways that the Museum can support families as they engage in scientific exploration, the Museum seeks to establish a Parent Forum. The Forum will offer parents and guardians from Wake and surrounding counties an opportunity to provide input and feedback on Museum services and programming.
