Pushy Plants and Alien Animals

INVASIVE SPECIES are not native to many of the areas where they're found, having been introduced on purpose or transported by accident. They are so aggressive that they cause ecological or economic harm.

Why care?  Invasive species:

  • Outcompete and displace native species
  • Reduce biodiversity
  • Can harm human health
  • Injure the economy
