What is the pressure like in the submersible? Do you have to do anything when you come to the surface after a dive? —Molly and Beverly, teachers from Forsyth Co.
The submersible is pressurized so it feels just like being on the ground. The submersible has euipment that provides a constant supply of oxygen and is also fitted with “scrubbers,” which keep the air free of carbon dioxide, so you breathe normally. You don’t have to do anything special when you come to the surface, but most of us talk about how good it feels to stretch out after four hours of sitting in a very small space!
