The weather map indicates inclement weather along the Southeastern coast. Has the weather been a deterrent to your voyage and investigations? —Lucinda, a retired teacher from Tennessee
We have been quite lucky with the weather. We have not seen any signs of inclement weather except for a few widely scattered (and welcome!) sprinkles early on in the trip. The seas have been fairly mild, usually less than two feet. Today the sea was like glass, reflecting the sky and clouds as if it was a deep blue mirror. We do pay careful attention to the forecast, and the ship receives regular updates from a variety of sources so we can plan accordingly.
