Welcome to Life on the Edge: Exploring Deep Ocean Habitats. We are busily making last-minute arrangements and loading gear before the Open House in Charleston, S.C., on the research vessel Seward Johnson. Our mission begins Aug. 16 when we leave port and head toward the Stetson Banks southeast of North Carolina’s Cape Fear.
