Q: Are you allowed to use a spear gun on the sub?
A: A few years ago, a spear gun was developed for use on the sub. It was smaller than what you might see in the movies and was difficult to use more than once a dive because there was no way to reset it. It has not been used since the late 1980s, as far as we can tell. You are only allowed to use a spear gun when you are diving without oxygen tanks, so it hardly seems fair to use one when you are in a submersible!
