Questions & Answers

Q: Do sharks occur in the deep-water habitats that you are sampling?

A: We have not yet observed any sharks on this mission. However, sharks do exist in almost every ocean habitat. As far as deep-water sharks, we may have the opportunity to see seven-gill sharks. In the shallower waters, we are likely to see nurse sharks, gray reef sharks, bull sharks, and tiger sharks.
