Music

Music teacher Terry Denny, one of our 2009 participants, was so inspired by her upcoming trip she wrote a song about it!

Wolf watchers at sunrise"As a musician and composer, I often express my feelings about things through songs.  When I was chosen to participate in this Institute, I was moved by the pictures and accounts of previous experiences that educators shared in past years.  One picture in particular showed teachers, at sunrise, watching wildlife in a field.  One line of the song came to my mind, "While dewdrops still glisten, just take time to listen..." and from there, I felt compelled to put into words and set to music my personal thoughts about what I would experience on this 9 day adventure.  It is through this song that I share the joy and wonder I feel for this very special place I will soon get to see for myself."
